Doom Patrol Gets Season 3 Renewal--But Not On DC Universe

Doom Patrol Season 3 is happening, but this time it will be exclusive to HBO Max.

The second installment of DC FanDome, the DC Comics virtual convention, packed some interesting news for fans of Doom Patrol, the live-action series that was initially available exclusively on DC Universe. After Season 2 streamed on that platform, as well as HBO Max, a third season is in the works. However, it's departing from the DC Universe streaming service.

As revealed in its FanDome panel, Doom Patrol Season 3 will air exclusively on HBO Max. "Doom Patrol came to HBO Max with an already deep and passionate fan base and has risen to the top as one of the most-watched Max Originals on the platform," HBO Max head of original content Sarah Aubrey said in a statement. "The series sits well in our portfolio and we are glad to greenlight a third season to continue this distinctive style of storytelling that resonates so well with critics and fans alike."
