Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze gets playable Cranky Kong and release date
The curmudgeonly, older Kong finally gets a shot at grabbing bananas when Tropical Freeze releases on February 21.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is going to have a curmudgeonly new playable character -- Cranky Kong is making his debut as a playable character in the game.
Announced at this year's Spike VGX Awards event, Nintendo of America President/COO Reggie Fils-Aime teased the reveal earlier in the week and along with a brief playthrough of the game's initial stages. Similar to Scrooge McDuck in DuckTales, Cranky is able to traverse obstacles by hopping over them with his cane.
The game also got a firm release date of February 21 next year.
