Dominions II selling out

Shrapnel Games has today announced that, following stronger than expected sales, Dominions II: The Ascension Wars is going into its second pressing. The turn-based fantasy strategy game, which was developed by Illwinter Game Design, has been available in North America since November last year but looks sure to sell out this week.

"Looking at the impressive number of preorders, we expected Dominions II to do well overall, but to have a second print run so soon after the initial release has come as a pleasant surprise," said Tim Brooks, president and founder of Shrapnel Games. "While many outlets have all but written off strategy gaming in 2003, Illwinter showed them up, releasing a superb title that will have people playing for years to come."
