Simon & Schuster Interactive has announced that its latest space combat strategy game, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars, has gone gold and will ship to stores next week. The game lets players control up to six ships in combat simultaneously, and it focuses exclusively on tactical combat rather than including resource management, technology research, or base building. Players can choose from any of the four factions featured in the game: Federation, Klingon, Cardassian, and Jem 'Hadar.

For more information, read our previous coverage of the game. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars was developed by Gizmo Games, and it will be available in stores next week for an approximate retail price of $39.95.
