New driving peripheral from ACT Labs to be shown at E3.

Comments

ACT Labs will show a new "HYPER" programmable force feedback driving wheel at June's E3. The new peripheral uses Immersion Corp's I-FORCE technology. ACT says the wheel will include six "HYPER" programmable buttons, a four-way directional pad, and a programmable Formula 1-style gear rocker on the steering column. In business since 1994, ACT Labs produces joysticks, gamepads, arcade sticks, and light guns for both console and PC systems. This is the first time ACT will be using Immersion Corp. technology.

Immersion tells GS News that in addition to the ACT wheel, four force feedback steering wheels from other manufacturers are in development or just reaching the marketplace. These include wheels from ThrustMaster, SC&T International, Interactive IO, and CH Products.
