Disney's Frozen 2 Out Now On Blu-ray, DVD, Digital: Special Features And Exclusive Editions
Frozen 2 will take you into the unknown digitally on February 11, and a Disney Plus release window has been outlined.
If you missed out on Frozen 2 in theaters, you now have a chance to watch the animated movie from home. It's now arrived on various digital storefronts and just released on Blu-ray and DVD as well. That means you can relive all of the adventures of Elsa, Olaf, and company now, instead of waiting until its Disney+ release date, which is expected to be sometime this summer.
On February 11, Frozen 2 became available on digital storefronts like iTunes, Vudu, Movies Anywhere, Google Play, and more. As of February 25, you can also pick up physical copies of Frozen 2 on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD through various retailers.
It’s been almost six years since our first trip to the kingdom of Arendelle in 2013. In the years since, the blockbuster film has become an established Broadway musical, including a West End show set to arrive in London before the end of the year.
In the latest Disney adventure, Frozen 2 explores why Elsa has magical powers, and she joins Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven on a remarkable journey and adventure through the enchanted forest for answers. Frozen 2 stars Idina Menzel (Uncut Gems) as Elsa, Kristen Bell (The Good Place) as Elsa's sister, Anna, Josh Gad (Little Monsters) as Olaf, Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter) as Kristoff, and Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld) as Queen Iduna. The movie is directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee.
The Frozen sequel was a box office success, making $467 domestically, according to Box Office Mojo. Internationally, the film almost pulled in $1 billion, and globally, Frozen 2 made a grand total of $1.4 billion. Critically, Frozen 2 didn't do as well, critically, compared to the first film. Frozen 2 scored a 64 on Metacritic (GameSpot's sister site), while Frozen scored a 74. In her review on CNET, Patricia Puentes said, "Frozen 2 is full of other delights, like the succession of memorable musical themes and the technically dazzling animation that brings to life a resplendent mythical world."
