Walt Disney Animation Studios has released an official teaser trailer for the animated musical comedy Encanto, which is scheduled to be in theaters on November 24. Encanto is the 60th film from the studio.

Set in Bogota, Encanto "is the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a magical house" and especially focuses on "Mirabel, an ordinary 15-year-old who's struggling to find her place in her family." Mirabel is voiced by Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and the film also features a voice cast that includes Diane Guerrero (Orange Is the New Black), Angie Cepeda (Love in the Time of Cholera), and Rhenzy Feliz (Marvel's Runaways). Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) has written original songs for the movie. Check out the trailer below.

Of her character, Beatriz said, "Mirabel is a really funny, loving character who also deeply yearns for something more… She's also not afraid to stand up for what she knows is right--something I love and relate to very much."

The movie was co-written and co-directed by Jared Bush (Zootopia), who collaborated with Charise Castro Smith on the script in her film debut. Byron Howard also takes on co-directing duties--he's also co-directed other Disney animated movies such as Bolt, Tangled, and Zootopia. Encanto was first announced in January 2020.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine recently wrapped filming its final season, which will start airing this August.
