Disneyland Adventures gets Kinect-ed Nov. 15
Disney Interactive Studios' virtual theme park and motion-controlled minigame collection gets concrete launch date on Xbox 360.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary isn't the only Microsoft-exclusive game hitting the Xbox 360 at the height of the holiday season. Microsoft and Disney Interactive Studios today announced a November 15 release for Kinect: Disneyland Adventures, putting it on shelves the same day Master Chief's original adventure gets a high-definition face-lift.
Kinect: Disneyland Adventures is an interactive re-creation of the original California theme park with a variety of minigames inspired by various rides and franchises from the animation giant's storied past. The park itself will include more than 40 characters for players to interact with, including Captain Hook, the Mad Hatter, Cinderella, Peter Pan, and, of course, Mickey Mouse. Players will be able to get virtual hugs and autographs, pose for photos, and otherwise pal around with their favorite characters.
Beyond the meet-and-greets, Kinect: Disneyland Adventures will feature a number of minigame attractions. Players will be able to find Peter Pan's shadow, recover Winnie the Pooh's honey pot, or take a trolley up Big Thunder Mountain.
