Disney Dreamlight Valley: How To Unlock The Mysterious Golden Potato

There are quite a lot of quest items and companions that you're likely to stumble upon while exploring the world of Disney Dreamlight Valley, largely found by carrying out tasks to help the many friends in your town. If you want to get your hands on the game's Rainbow Fox companion, though, you'll need to find a bunch of, uh, potatoes around the valley. The first you'll want to grab is the Golden Potato, and we'll tell you where to find it below.

How to unlock the Mysterious Golden Potato

The Golden Potato was originally only able to be acquired by using a code and then retrieving it from your mailbox, but since June 2023, it's now available in a specific spot in-game. It's also worth noting that the original code for unlocking the Golden Potato no longer works, so this is the only way to get the item now. But that's a good thing, as this should make rounding up this golden spud a much quicker task than before.

To get the Golden Potato, you'll simply need to visit Scrooge McDuck's shop and head to the back wall behind the counter. Here, you'll find a giant safe where Scrooge surely keeps all of his wealth, and if you look closely, you'll find a spot where you'll be able to interact. Do so, and out will pop the Golden Potato for you to pick up off the ground.
