Disco Elysium TV Series Now In The Works
No network or writer has been attached to the TV adaptation of ZA/UM's RPG Disco Elysium.
Developer and publisher ZA/UM has announced that its critically acclaimed RPG Disco Elysium is getting a television adaptation.
According to Variety, ZA/UM partnered with production company dj2 Entertainment to create the series. Dj2 founder Dmitri M. Johnson was a co-producer on Paramount Pictures' Sonic the Hedgehog live-action film. A network, release window, or writer has yet to be confirmed for Disco Elysium's TV adaptation.
"We're so gratified at the response Disco Elysium has received, and very happy to be teaming with dj2 to expand the franchise for other media and new audiences," ZA/UM's lead writer Helen Hindpere said.
"Disco Elysium is a phenomenal property with an expansive world and unlimited potential," Johnson said. "The dj2 team is truly thrilled about this extraordinary opportunity to be part of it all."
In addition to Sonic the Hedgehog, dj2 is working on several other video game-based film and television projects. This includes adaptations for Life is Strange, Ruiner, Sleeping Dogs, We Happy Few, and more.
