Disciples: Sacred Lands Gold Edition out soon

Strategy First will release a gold edition of its 1999 turn-based strategy game Disciples: Sacred Lands soon. The original Disciples was a strategy game that incorporated a number of role-playing game elements, such as character classes and experience points and levels.

The gold edition will feature improved multiplayer support and more than 25 brand-new scenario maps. According to Disciples producer Pro Sotos, the new edition and maps are intended to both address widespread shortages of the original game, especially in Europe, and give dedicated fans more maps to play while they wait for the game's sequel, Disciples II: Dark Prophecy, which is scheduled for release later this year. Many of the gold edition's maps are relatively large and feature multiple objectives, like recovering specific artifacts, defeating a specific character or army, or capturing a specific city.

Disciples: Sacred Lands Gold Edition is scheduled for release in early March for an approximate retail price of $19.99.
