Strategy First has announced that Disciples II: Dark Prophecy, its latest turn-based strategy game, has shipped to stores. The game is the sequel to Disciples: Sacred Lands, which was released in 1999. The new game continues the storyline of the original game, and it includes a number of new features and improvements. Players assume control of one of four warring factions--the Empire, the Mountain Clans, the Legions of the Damned, and the Undead Hordes--and they must build and manage cities, heroes, and units in order to emerge victorious.

Disciples II features a new event and trigger system, improved artificial intelligence, and a variety of new units and spells. It also features new graphics and support for 800x600 screen resolution. Disciples II will soon be available in stores for an approximate retail price of $39.99. Disciples II Collector's Edition, which includes five extra scenarios and a Disciples trading card game, will also be available for $49.99.
