When the Xbox Series X and Series S release, Dirt 5 will be one of the launch games available that will usher in the next-generation of console gaming. With 4K resolution graphics and the ability to run at up to 120 FPS on Xbox Series X, Dirt 5 certainly sounds impressive.

If you're wondering how the game will look in action when it runs at that particular frame-rate, you'll still have to wait a few more weeks but you can get a new look at Dirt 5's rally action in its latest trailer which has been uploaded to YouTube in 4K 60 FPS format.

It's worth noting that Dirt 5 will have three graphical options that players can choose from on Xbox Series X. Image quality prioritizes visuals and allows for the game to hit its 60 FPS benchmark although players will experience a dip in frame-rate when the driving action becomes congested with effects and other drivers.

Frame rate mode decreases graphical detail but maintains a stable FPS throughout a race, while 120Hz Mode makes a few more graphical sacrifices so that you can take advantage of next-gen hardware to hit the higher FPS. If you have a display that can take advantage of this mode.

"Overall, I wouldn't say Dirt 5 is a graphical powerhouse with either enhancement option," editor Michael Higham said in his Dirt 5 preview."Some tracks look impressive when heavy weather starts to kick in, like the snowstorm that sometimes hits the Norway track or the New York ice drifting circuit, all while maintaining a high frame rate. And it is nice to have the game running 4K without having to limit itself to 30 FPS, and also see a console that can use a higher refresh rate and go beyond 60 FPS."

Dirt 5 will launch alongside the Xbox Series X and Series S on November 10, so check out our preorder guide for all the details on those consoles and the games that will be available on them from day one. Dirt 5 will also be on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on the same day, and will arrive on PS5 on November 12.
