The auction for a diamond-studded Master Chief helmet has ended, with the one-of-a-kind Halo item selling for $34,300. As revealed previously, it features 25,000 Swarovski diamonds and weighs 5kg.

This wasn't a for-profit initiative on Microsoft's part, however. Sold by Xbox Asia, all proceeds from the unique helmet will go to the Make-A-Wish charity, which grants "wishes" to sick children.

The Master Chief helmet was built by Taiwanese cosplayer Hsu Chia-Hao and Australian fashion designer Jenny Manik Mercian, who has worked with celebrities like Beyoncé and Gisele Bündchen. Watch the video above to learn more about the ultra-rare Halo memorabilia.
