Diamond Announces New Monster 3D Board

In the wake of 3Dfx Interactive's Voodoo Graphics 2 announcement, Diamond Multimedia has announced the follow-up to its Monster 3D.

Although Diamond isn't releasing a name, what that board will be configured with, or the software bundle that will be included with the new board, it does expect to release the board at a higher price then the Monster. The product is set to launch in the mid- to late first quarter of 1998.

It may be time to start asking for money or gift certificates to your favorite hardware store; you're going to need it.
