Diablo II: Lord of Destruction rolls on

Blizzard's role-playing game expansion retains the top spot in NPD's latest list of best-selling games.

For the fourth time in a row, Blizzard's role-playing game expansion Diablo II: Lord of Destruction won the top spot in NPD Intelect's weekly list of best-selling PC games. Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2000 rocketed from eighth place last week up to second place this week, fueled by a significant price cut. Electronic Arts' virtual life game The Sims slipped from second to third, followed by its latest expansion pack, The Sims: House Party, in fourth place. Blizzard's role-playing game Diablo II came in at number five, boosted by the recent release of the Lord of Destruction expansion pack.
