Blizzard Entertainment has revealed more information about some of the new items that will be featured in its upcoming role-playing game expansion, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Some of the items featured include crafted items, which are special items that can only be made in the horadic cube. These items have fixed special bonuses that don't normally appear as bonuses on items. The expansion pack will also include magic and rare jewels, which are similar to gems, but can acquire random magical properties. In addition, Lord of Destruction will include new exceptional and elite sets of items, which will now give partial magical bonuses for wearing more than one item from a set. Another improvement included in the expansion is the addition of class-specific javelins for amazons and the ability for thrown weapons to carry magical bonuses that can be replenished by repairing the weapon at the vendor.

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction will add several new features to Blizzard's popular role-playing game Diablo II. In addition to two new character classes, a new fifth act, and a large new area to explore, the expansion will include new weapons, items, and monsters, support for higher screen resolution, and a number of other improvements. For more information, take a look at our in-depth previews of the expansion pack. Diablo II: Lord of Destruction is scheduled for release in July.
