Diablo fever continues

The hot sales of Blizzard's Diablo II: Lord of Destruction show no signs of cooling off--the role-playing game expansion once again took the top slot in NPD's latest list of best-selling PC games. GodGames' gritty third-person shooter Max Payne remained in second place, followed by a Sims reunion: The Sims, The Sims: House Party, and The Sims: Livin' Large in the third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively.

RollerCoaster Tycoon, Infogrames' unstoppable theme park management game, came in sixth place, nearly two-and-a-half years after its initial release in March 1999. Blizzard's Diablo II dropped from fifth to seventh place, trailed by three Microsoft games--Flight Simulator 2000, MechCommander 2, and Age of Empires II: Age of Kings--to round out the top ten.
