Learn about the different Necromancer talents in Diablo 4.

Comments

The Necromancer in Diablo 4 uses bone, blood, darkness, and curses to wreak havoc on the battlefield. The class' specialized kit allows it to reanimate the dead or craft golems to do its bidding. Here's our Diablo 4 Necromancer talents overview guide to help you with the perks that you can unlock and select.

Diablo 4 Necromancer talents

The Diablo 4 Necromancer talents, similar to other classes, use a tier grouping system. You can unlock certain options upon spending some talent points, and a few can also be upgraded further. We've enumerated them below, noting the possible upgrades and connected nodes. Likewise, you can check out the Necromancer's abilities in our skills guide.

Core tier/grouping talent options

  • Unliving Energy - Increases your maximum essence.
    • Imperfectly Balanced - Core skills cost 5% more essence but they deal 10% more damage.
  • Hewed Flesh - Lucky Hit; damaging a target gives a chance to create a corpse at the location; doubled against bosses.

Macabre and Corpse tier/grouping talent options

  • Spiked Armor - Grants thorns effect (i.e. damage those that hit you).
  • Skeletal Warrior Mastery - Increases the damage and HP of your Skeletal Warriors.
  • Grim Harvest - Consume a corpse grants essence.
  • Fueled by Death - Deal increased damage temporarily after consuming a corpse.
True Necromancers are always eager to make use of every corpse they see. That's where the bonus damage from Fueled by Death comes into play.

    • Hellbent Commander - Minions deal more damage if you're close to them.

Key Passives

The Diablo 4 Necromancer talents also have Key Passives, which are unlocked once you spend 33 skill points. However, you're only allowed to choose one.

  • Ossified Essence - Bone skills deal +1% more damage for each point of essence you have above 50 whenever they're cast.
  • Kalan's Edict - If you haven't taken damage for the last three seconds, minions gain +15% attack speed; gives +30% attack speed if you have at least seven minions.
  • Rathma's Vigor - +10% max HP; after you've been healthy for 15 seconds, your next Blood skill overpowers.
  • Shadowblight - Shadow damage infects enemies for two seconds, allowing you and your minions to deal +10% bonus damage to them. Every 10th time an enemy is hit by Shadow damage while they're affected by Shadowblight, they'll take additional Shadow damage.
Kalan's Edict will have your minions do most of the work for you, thanks to increased attack speed. Just make sure you can avoid damage reliably.
