Diablo 3 PS3/360 Saves Can Transfer to PS4 or Xbox One -- Your Choice

You can choose which of the new platforms to transfer your save to regardless of which last-gen console your save is on

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition players importing characters and saves from last-generation Diablo III can transition from a Sony or Microsoft system, reports Destructoid. This means you can either switch from Xbox 360 to the PlayStation 4, or from PlayStation 3 to Xbox One.

By linking an Xbox Live gamertag or a PSN ID to a account, players can import their progress. However, saves can't be transferred between Xbox One and PS4. No reason for this restriction was mentioned, and there was no announcement of a PC-to-current-generation.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition features the base game, the Reaper of Souls expansion, plus new achievements and trophies. The PS4 version will feature exclusive content based on The Last of Us and Shadow of the Colossus.

You can read more on the Reaper of Souls expansion in GameSpot's review.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition will be released August 19.
