Diablo 2 Resurrected is introducing eight new Rune Words in patch 2.6, which is going to have a public test session starting on January 24. Players who want to participate will have time until January 31 to do so. Developer Blizzard also mentions that new Rune Words are "only a portion of the content" arriving in the patch, teasing that there'll be more news closer to release.
Blizzard adds that the inclusion of new Rune Words comes from a desire of "spicing up the Ladder meta and giving players additional tools to bring new builds to life". This seems like a follow-up to the balance changes done to all Diablo 2 Resurrected classes early last year with patch 2.4.
The PTR for patch 2.6 starts on January 24 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET and lasts until January 31 at the same times. Players who want to take part in it must have the game on PC, and then select the PTR: Diablo 2 Resurrected branch in the Battle.net desktop app, using the left-hand menu above the Play button.
