Annihilation and Devs director is back with a brand-new feature from A24 that feels all too real some days. Announced back in January 2022, Alex Garland describes Civil War as a "companion piece" to Men, and "serves as a sci-fi allegory for our currently polarised predicament."

In the feature's first trailer, we start with radio announcements that briefly look at the world's backdrop. 19 states have seceded from the Union and a new American civil war has started. The President (Nick Offerman) gives a state of the union-type of address adding more insight about who the nation is targeting and his determination to wipe them out. Check it out below.

Joining Offerman, Civil War stars Kirsten Dunst as a reporter on the run, Wagner Moura, Jesse Plemons, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Jonica T. Gibbs, Karl Glusman, and Cailee Spaeny.

Garland wrote and directed Civil War, which is his ninth directorial feature film.

The film is scheduled for release on April 26, 2024.
