“Deus Ex Go” Announced, Will Include Tough Puzzles and Map-Making Tool After Launch
Turn-based puzzle game follows Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go.
Square Enix today announced its latest turn-based “Go” game, this time for the Deus Ex franchise. During the Deus Ex livestream event today, Square Enix Montreal unveiled Deus Ex Go, which is scheduled to come out this summer for phones and tablets.
You play as Adam Jensen, the hero of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and this year's Mankind Divided, whose puzzle-solving abilities including hacking, combat, and augmentations. According to Square Enix, these puzzles are some of the “most challenging” ones across the entire Go series.
"With Deus Ex Go, we really want to take the Go series to another level," Square Enix Montreal studio head Patrick Naud said in a statement. "Building on the learnings of Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go, our goal is to push the experience a step further in terms of visual treatment and game design in order to bring you a fresh, reimagined puzzle experience that celebrates the franchise."
Square Enix also teased that Deus Ex go will get a "smart, game-changing new feature" a few weeks after launch. This comes in the form of a puzzle-making tool that players can use to create their own puzzles and share them with friends online.
Already-available Go games from Square Enix include Lara Croft Go and Hitman Go. These each sell for $5 for their mobile versions, though Square Enix didn’t announce any pricing details for Deus Ex Go. To get a closer look at the game, check out the announcement trailer above.

As for the mainline Deus Ex series, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided comes out in August for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
