Detective Pikachu Available Now On Blu-Ray, 4K UHD, And Digital

Welcome back to Ryme City.

Detective Pikachu released to critical and popular acclaim on May 10--the box office hit is already slated for a sequel--and now you can watch the live-action Pokemon film starring Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu from the comfort of your home. Since July 23, Detective Pikachu has been available to rent or buy digitally from Prime Video, iTunes, and other digital video stores. If you'd rather own the film on DVD, Blu-ray, or 4K/UHD, those versions are now also available to purchase as of August 6.

Physical edition bonus

The Pokemon Company recently revealed that for a limited time, physical versions of Detective Pikachu will also include a special promo card from the Pokemon Trading Card Game. It's unclear whether this promo card will differ from those handed out at movie theaters in May, but either way, this is still a nice perk and a chance to get additional cards you may not own (the Detective Pikachu card game expansion includes a total of 27 cards).
