Last year, to commemorate dedicated players of Destiny, developer Bungie launched "Moments of Triumph." This tasked players with completing a handful of big objectives in the game, such as finishing the raids, completing Skolas's Revenge in the Prison of Elders, and winning 100 Crucible matches. Now, Bungie has revealed that it will bring back Moments of Triumph this year during the run-up to the fall release of the next Destiny expansion, Rise of Iron.

At E3 2016 we talked to Rise of Iron creative lead Christopher Barrett on the studio's plans for the expansion. When asked whether or not Rise of Iron will reward long-term players like The Taken King expansion did with the Founder's Pack, he replied that Bungie is doing Moments of Triumph again.

"We started to talk a little bit about Moments of Triumph and that's something we'll be doing again," he told us. "There are rewards associated with doing that content and so that's a way players can kind of memorialize what they've done over the previous year."

The second version of Moments of Triumph will likely feature events tied to The Taken King expansion and other Destiny Year 2 activities. Barrett did not talk about what the reward for completing all the activities will be. Last year, players who finished it were rewarded with a special emblem.

This confirms reports that arose from a Destiny fan who unearthed mentions of Moments of Triumph in Bungie's API. The player found a diagram of all the activities you'll have to complete, which you can see here.

Destiny: Rise of Iron launches on September 20 for PS4 and Xbox One, and we also talked to Barrett about why it's not coming to PS3 and Xbox 360. You can read more about Rise of Iron here. Keep an eye on GameSpot for more about the expansion in the coming months.
