Today, Sony detailed Destiny's PlayStation-exclusive content in a PlayStation Blog post. PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 owners of Destiny will receive a multiplayer map, a Strike mission, three sets of armor, two weapons, and three spacecraft.

The mid-sized multiplayer map is called "Exodus Blue" and is built for Control, Destiny's version of Domination. According to Destiny's developer, Bungie, "the Exodus Blue, a long-dead vessel, once brought hope and humanity to worlds beyond Earth. Here, Guardians challenge one another, forging a new hope and future in the fires of the Crucible."

PlayStation owners will also be able to play through a three-player co-op mission on Mars called "The Dust Palace Strike." According to the blog post, "You'll track a Cabal extraction team through the husks of an ancient human skyscraper, the Dust Palace, buried in the shifting dunes of Mars and face a new enemy, the Psion Flayers."

Three sets of armor and two weapons will be exclusive, as well. In addition to the Monte Carlo assault rifle and Hawkmoon handcannon, Manifold Seeker armor for Warlocks, Vanir armor for Titans, and Argus armor for Hunters will be available.

Finally, PlayStation owners will have exclusive access to three spacecraft: the Aurora Wake, the Crypt Hammer, and the Outrageous Fortune. According to Bungie, the Aurora Wake has "ahull lined with arcane instruments, crafted by a circle of Warlocks – gifting the ship with a preternatural sense for the strange." The Crypt Hammer is "a deep-strike insertion variant, built to carry Guardians safely through contested space." The Outrageous Fortune is "A rugged, versatile explorer for those ready to gamble everything in search of ancient secrets and alien power."

GameSpot editors played a lot of the Destiny alpha and liked their time with it. You can read our impressions of the game here.

Destiny is due out on September 9 on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3.

Still don't see why this game is any different from borderlands, having trouble getting excited about this one.

@Saidrex @adub424

Nope not one of those guys. Personally I play a ton of Titanfall right now. Please explain to me what makes Destiny new and special besides the bungee pedigree.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Well it was as far as I know the first console based Coop shooter with millions of guns and RPG elements was there another. Plus the Style and comedy of Borderlands sure does set it apart from other games.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Wow I was under the impression that there were population caps on the zones. The first true MMO shooter would be interesting. So how do they handle hub/city areas when 100 or so people are in one spot?

I was interested in Destiny until I saw this. It's one thing to give certain consoles exclusive content (and I think that practice is pretty crappy), but it's another to give one console SO MUCH extra content.

Obviously the creators of Destiny have some sort of issue with me, since I'm a stupid Xbox owner whose business they do not value.

So I did the logical thing, I cancelled my pre-order of Destiny for Xbox One. And not so I can buy a PS4 and Destiny for that (like some marketing A-holes must want), but to simply not buy Destiny at all.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Sony paid a TON of money for this and marketing exclusivity, remember. This has nothing to do with Bungie's allegiance, more for Activision's willingness to take deals like this.

@newhaus1994 @spacecadet25 if sony paid for it how is that a bad thing xbox has been throwing money at games to get content first for years sony probably does it to this just the first time I heard of it.

I'm not seeing a big deal, armor that will most likely just a skin but same stats, ships, Probally just skins, same stats. A map is the only decent thing I see.

I'll still chose the one with more friends on it.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Keep in mind the exclusive armor you get will be the armor you start out with in the game. You will find much better armor once you progress your way through the game, its not a big deal. Same goes for the ships and the guns. The Strike mission and the one map is kinda crazy, but its just two small addons in such a big game.

<< LINK REMOVED >> The strike missions are decent chunks of content. The one in the alpha has taken some teams a good couple of hours to get through.
