Comments

We're officially in the final month of Destiny 2's Season of Arrivals, with the Festival of the Lost in full swing. Get the gear you need for the Haunted Forest by visiting Xur to grab some new Exotics. Head to the EDZ, to the Winding Cove area, to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering The Wardcliff Coil. Hunters can pick up the Wormhusk Crown helmet; for Titans, there's the One-Eyed Mask helmet; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Felwinter's Helm helmet.

Xur Location

You'll find Xur at the northern tip of the Winding Cove area in the EDZ. Climb the cliff and look for the crashed Fallen dropship to find him.

Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone and hop on your sparrow, heading north. Make your way to the edge of the area and either climb up or find a cave that will lead you to the cliff above. A crashed Fallen dropship marks the spot where Xur stands and surveys the area.

Xur Exotic Items

The Wardcliff Coil is Xur's weapon this week, and it's probably one that has killed you in the Crucible a few times. In fact, Xur is packing a bunch of great Crucible Exotics this week, so it's worth taking advantage of both his Wormhusk Crown and One-Eyed Mask, which pack pretty good stat rolls. But if you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own. He also has the Five of Swords challenge card, which lets you enable modifiers for Nightfall Strikes.

  • Exotic Engram -- 97 legendary shards
  • The Wardcliff Coil -- 29 legendary shards
  • Wormhusk Crown -- 23 legendary shards
  • One-Eyed Mask -- 23 legendary shards
  • Felwinter's Helm -- 23 legendary shards
  • Five of Swords -- free

The Wardcliff Coil (Rocket Launcher)

You're just about guaranteed a kill or two in the Crucible with The Wardcliff Coil, which fires a volley of rockets that are pretty hard for Guardians to avoid.

If you don't need an Exotic in your Primary or Energy weapon slots in the Crucible, The Wardcliff Coil is a great choice for a Power weapon. It fires a mess of rockets in a spray, turning the area in front of you into a shower of death. Wardcliff is extremely tough for opponents to survive if you use it at close or midrange, so you can usually count on it for at least one kill, provided you can get the ammo for it.

Wormhusk Crown (Hunter)

Your Hunter dodge gives you a boost to your health and shields when you're wearing Wormhusk Crown, and it can save your life in the Crucible.

For Hunters looking to compete in the Crucible, Wormhusk Crown is a must-have for your stable of Exotics, especially if you're a player who likes high Mobility stats. The helmet gives you a small boost to your health and shields every time you use your Hunter dodge. In the middle of a fight, that boost can be a lifesaver, and paired with the right build, it can have you dodging and powering yourself up all over the place.

One-Eyed Mask (Titan)

Its effectiveness was nerfed not too long ago, but One-Eyed Mask is still a popular Crucible choice for Titans, thanks to the overshield it can give you.

Another extremely useful Crucible Exotic, even despite a relatively recent nerf from Bungie, is One-Eyed Mask. When an enemy damages you while you're wearing the helmet, they're briefly marked--and if you can kill them during that time, you'll gain an overshield. That makes One-Eyed Mask great in most combat scenarios: If you can manage to kill whoever you're fighting, it'll be tough for their teammates to mop you up afterward.

If you're a melee-focused Warlock, give Felwinter's Helm a try. Every time you make an Arc, Solar, or Void melee kill, you'll create a blast of energy that will weaken any enemies nearby. That blast gets expanded when you use Finishers or kill more powerful enemies, and increases the duration of the weakening effect, making it great if you like to punch your way through mobs of PvE enemies.
