[Last Chance] Destiny 2: Where Is Xur This Week? Exotic Items / Location Guide (Sept. 11-15)
Visit Xur for new Exotics to help you take on the Iron Banner this week.
Update Sept 18 Xur's Location
The Solstice of Heroes might be over in Destiny 2, but the Iron Banner is back, and that's a great reason to visit Xur this week and pick up some new Exotic weapons and armor to get you into fighting shape. Head to the EDZ's Winding Cove area to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering The Prospector. Hunters can pick up the Ophidia Spathe chest armor; for Titans, there's the Doom Fang Pauldron gauntlets; and for Warlocks, Xur has The Stag helmet. You've still got a few more hours before Xur departs with the weekly reset on Tuesday, September 15.
Xur Location
Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone and hop on your sparrow to head north. You're making your way to the big cliff that borders the northern part of the area, near the highway overpass. Climb up the cliff (or find the cave pathways that'll take you through) to reach the crashed Fallen dropship on a ridge above. You'll find Xur standing beside it, overlooking the area.
Xur Exotic Items
Xur's weapon this week, The Prospector, is a powerful grenade launcher you'll want in your rotation. Unlike other launchers, it fires grenades that stick to surfaces and can be remotely detonated, making it great for setting traps or melting bosses. If you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own. He also has the Five of Swords challenge card, which lets you enable modifiers for Nightfall Strikes.

The Prospector (Grenade Launcher)
You can get a lot of versatility out of The Prospector in both PvP and PvE situations. Instead of firing grenades that explode right away, it allows you to fire multiple grenades that stick to surfaces, and then detonate them all at once. The grenades also set targets on fire. That means you can use them to hammer away at a boss weakpoint with a lot of damage at once, or leave them at a corner you know an opposing Guardian is about to round.
Ophidia Spathe (Hunter)
Like throwing knives? Ophidia Spathe does just one thing: It gives you a second throwing knife charge. With the right Blade Barrage build, that can be extremely useful in keeping your melee and grenade charges full to do a ton of burn damage, in both the Crucible and PvE situations.

Doom Fang Pauldron (Titan)
For Titans, Doom Fang Pauldron is one of those extremely useful Exotics you'll want to have for your Void builds. It grants Super energy whenever you rack up Void melee kills, and when your Super is active, melee kills speed the recharge of your Shield Throw ability. The more Shield Throw hits you get, the more your Super is extended--so used effectively, Doom Fang is great for getting you more Supers and making them last longer.

The Stag (Warlock)
The Stag is geared toward Warlocks who like to function as support players for their Fireteams and keep themselves alive. It's all about creating more rifts--when you're critically wounded, the Exotic gives you rift energy, and when you die, a healing rift is dropped on your corpse to make it easier for teammates to revive you. Especially if you're a fan of healing rifts and expect dire situations, The Stag can help keep everyone alive for longer.
