Destiny 2 Update Patch Notes: Bad Juju, Moments Of Triumph, Menagerie Rewards Fix

No more free Chalice rolls.

Destiny 2 received a significant update this week, one that marks the last few weeks of the game's second year of content. Update 2.5.1.1 added Moments of Triumph to the game, which track your accomplishments over the last year--something Bungie often adds to Destiny as a year draws to a close and new content approaches. Even more notably, though, the update also sneaked in a quest for the Exotic pulse rifle Bad Juju, and you can now get your hands on the returning weapon from the first Destiny. (Check out our Bad Juju guide for info on how to get the gun fast).

Update 2.5.1.1 is mostly about dishing out fixes, though. Chief among them is a fix for the Menagerie, the Season of Opulence's new activity. Like other activities, completing a run through the Menagerie allows players to open a chest at the end that dishes out special guns and armor--but thanks to a bug, since the launch of Opulence, you could open the Menagerie chest multiple times, gaining a bunch of extra rewards if you were quick. Bungie acknowledged the bug in a blog post back on June 27, giving players a week's warning to finish their Menagerie farms before issuing a fix.

Other fixes in the patch include another Menagerie bug, which gave players credit for completing portions of its Gauntlet activity even if they died in the attempt. Gone are the days of quickly burning through the Menagerie with the Gauntlet, it seems. Bungie also knocked out a bug that made it possible to use one of the perks of Outbreak Prime, one of its new Exotic weapons, on enemies that were otherwise immune from damage.

Not all the changes take away exploits for players, though. An issue with the new Crown of Sorrows Raid has been patched that should help runs go more smoothly, and a problem with the Exotic hand cannon Sturm, reinvigorated by pairing it with a new gun from the Menagerie, has also been ironed out. Check out the full patch notes below.
