Time's running out to get Destiny 2 for free on PC. It's available between now and November 18 for anyone with a Battle.net account. Get it, and it's yours to keep and play forever. Note that this is the vanilla version of Destiny 2, so it doesn't come with the numerous expansions that have arrived since the game launched last year. Even so, there's plenty to do in it.

While it doesn't include Forsaken, the big Year 2 update Bungie launched in September, buying Forsaken gets you all Year 1 content as well. And if you want a taste of what comes in Forsaken, you'll be able to try out Gambit, one of Forsaken's major new modes, during a free trial that runs November 9-11. Gambit is a mode that combines PvE and PvP, so you can take down computer-controlled enemies or, at certain points, invade the opposing team's side and battle against them.

Destiny 2 is a shared-world first-person shooter that's packed with PvE and PvP content you can take on to level up your character and amass a collection of armor and weapons. In our original PvE and PvP content, Kallie Plagge wrote, "In true Destiny fashion, if you do something once, you'll probably end up doing it many more times. The difference with Destiny 2 is in the variety and accessibility of what's available, which cuts down on a lot of the frustration associated with grinding." And if you're interested in the expansions, you can read our Destiny 2: Forsaken review as well.

If you've been holding off on trying Destiny 2, you might as well give it a shot now. Just make sure to download it before it goes back up to full price on November 18.
