It is a very big day for Destiny, as Destiny 2's Beyond Light expansion is right around the corner. The expansion isn't without its issues, however, and developer Bungie has now provided a rundown of some of the top problems and other important intel that players can expect and should be aware of when they boot up the game after the update.

Important Stuff To Know

Bungie reminded players that any Season Pass you might own will be applied to the first set of characters that sign in to Destiny 2 after the new update. What this means is that if you plan to use Cross Save for other characters later on, you should create a Cross Save account before logging in. You can find out how to do that on the Cross Save page.

Now Playing: Destiny 2: Beyond Light - Official Launch Trailer

Players taking part in the Wrathborn Hunt activity must do damage to the final boss if they want to get credit for taking part in the activity. Additionally, players must have the Beyond Light game client to obtain the new Stasis subclasses.

Other important information to know is in regards to the Exotic Archive and Stasis fragment quests. "The Exotic Archive will keep flashing if the player has an Exotic Cipher in their inventory. Players who dismantle the Stasis fragment quests must wait a week before picking up a new on," Bungie said.

Top Issues

With the launch of Beyond Light, Bungie is alerting players to issues they may experience. First off, the One-Inch Punch finisher does not currently kill enemies if the player is using the Stasis subclass. Additionally, weapon perks based on kills are not operating consistently for Stasis frozen shatter kills.

For the Crucible Stasis fragment quest "Timeless Victory," players might see their progress accumulate inconsistently. Another issue is that the Wrathborn Hunt icon might not always appear on the map as it should.

Additionally, the Patrol activity "To the Nth Power" is not currently able to be completed with Stasis super kills as a Warlock. And finally, Exo Challenge activities are currently experiencing an issue where they don't give the proper awards for players below the soft power cap.

Destiny 2's servers are currently offline in preparation for Beyond Light. The servers will stay offline until around 12 PM PT on November 10. While you wait, you can pre-load Beyond Light so you can get started as soon as it goes live.

There's a lot that's leaving Destiny 2 in Beyond Light, including the destinations Titan, Io, Mercury, Mars, and the Leviathan, and all their associated content and raids. They're making room for the new destination of Europa, and Bungie has suggested that the content might come back into the game in the future--but how and in what form, we don't yet know.
