Dennis 'TaKe' Gehlen announces TakeTV Ultra Invitational
Following a request by the German caster to give a promotional video more than 60,000 views, the community's reward now comes in the shape of the TaKeTV Ultra Invitational.
This article was originally published on GameSpot's sister site onGamers.com, which was dedicated to esports coverage.
The video in question Gehlen urged his viewers to watch was a promotional clip provided by Nvidia, who would provide a grand total of $1,000 to the prizepool if it reached the amount of views specified. According to TaKe, the video was a success and the amount of hits it received prompted three other companies to invest in to the pool. Subscribers to Gehlen's Twitch.tv stream, who are dubbed "Ultras", also stepped up to the plate and donated a total of $2550 to the cause, as well custom trophies for the top 3 at the invitational.
This totals the pool at $6,050, and will be split between the top 4 finishers.
So far no players have been revealed for the event, which will take place between May 3-4.
