NovaLogic's first/third-person action game Delta Force has been downloaded more than 100,000 times since its release in the first week of October, NovaLogic announced. The demo allows for one hour of multiplay on NovaWorld, the company's online gaming site. The company plans to begin Delta Force-related multiplayer events next week, starting with 30-plus player deathmatches.

The game's demo will be featured on 165,000 NovaLogic sampler CDs (single and multi-player missions) that should start showing up on retail store shelves in November. Those sampler CDs will also contain the Delta Force Instant Winner sweepstakes; after playing a Delta Force demo (or F-16 Multirole Fighter, also included in the sampler), players encounter a message screen telling them whether or not they've won a prize. Prizes include an Extended Family GS-400 Gateway computer with a 19-inch monitor, KOSS JR/900 Cordless Headphones, ACS-55 Power Gaming Speakers by Altec Lansing and NovaLogic games. Nonwinning sampler owners can still enter the sweepstakes, which runs through Dec. 15.
