Sledgehammer Games has delayed the PC release of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's first DLC, Havoc, after the developer discovered an "unexpected issue." The expansion was supposed to arrive today, but has been pushed back a week and will now launch March 3.

"We have encountered an unexpected issue with the PC release for Call of Duty: ‪‎Advanced Warfare‬'s first DLC content pack, Havoc, and we're holding its release until March 3rd," Sledgehammer wrote on Facebook. "We don't take this decision lightly, but rest assured that our team is working with Activision to get this content to the PC community as quickly as possible."

To make it up to fans, Sledgehammer is offering doubleXP in Advanced Warfare's multiplayer mode effective immediately.

Havoc originally launched in January for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It arrived today for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Havoc includes the following:

  • Four new multiplayer maps: Core, Urban, Sideshow, Drift.
  • Exo Zombies mode: This co-op mode sees player taking on the role of four Atlas Corporation employees played by celebrities John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, and John Bernthal as they fight against a "new breed" of zombies.
  • New weapons: the AE4 directed energy assault rifle and custom variant, the AE4 Widowmaker.

The DLC is included with the game's $50 expansion pass, or can be purchased by itself for $15.

Havoc is the first of four planned expansions for Advanced Warfare. The other three are called Ascendance, Supremacy, and Reckoning. Activision has not yet announced details on these expansions, though you can be pretty sure they will add more maps, weapons, and zombies content.

Funny how AW sold more PS4 units, even when Microsoft bribes them to give them first release on the DLC

I don't regard 4 maps, one new game mode and 2 new weapons an expansion pack. In fact, for 15 bucks that is quite pathetic. I can only shake my head at this nonsense. I remember back in the day when a 30 dollar expansion pack was actually worth it. Times surely have changed :(

If this had been an Evolve article, the comment section would be aflame in hatred, despite the fact that this game's DLC is much more despicable.

They should release Atlas Gorge to everyone on PC, can't find anyone to play that map with in the first place, might aswell give it to the community so it will actually be used.

The "unexpected issue" is the fact that they forgot they were supposed to release the PC version a week later in the first place. Now they've fixed the problem.
