Del Toro in talks with 'big company' to revive InSane
Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro says mystery studio "really responded to the game."
Guillermo del Toro is in talks with a "big company" to revive his action game InSane, which the now-bankrupt publisher THQ cut loose last year.
“We are in talks with a very, very big company," del Toro told the Toronto Sun. "I can’t say who, but it’s one of the big ones. They really responded to the game; they responded to what we were trying."
In November, the Pan's Labyrinth and Pacific Rim director revealed he had shopped the project around to numerous publishers, noting the game was back on track.
In October, del Toro was asked which studio would be a "dream developer" for InSane, and he responded with the Half-Life and Left 4 Dead company Valve. He said he is a "big fan" of the outfit.
Concerning how far along in development InSane is, del Toro said at the time of its cancellation at THQ in August, the game was in "good shape." The world, the creatures, the levels, and the story were all in place, he said.
