Deering plays with RedOctane
Former Sony Europe CEO joins Guitar Hero publisher as nonexecutive director; rhythm game plays first tour in Europe today.
RedOctane today announced that Chris Deering has joined the publishers board as a nonexecutive director. Deering was formerly the CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, and oversaw the launch of the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 in the region. After resigning from Sony in 2005, Deering took a seat as a nonexecutive board member of UK game publisher Codemasters. RedOctane's award-winning PlayStation 2 game Guitar Hero launches in the UK, Scandinavia, and Benelux today.
