WizardWorks has posted screenshots of the upcoming 3D sequel to its top-selling hunting sim, Deer Hunter, on its web site. The new screens give gamers an idea of what to expect when Deer Hunter II is released later this fall. Wizard Works goes into some detail, elaborating on the new game's content:

"Twelve new hunting locations: Four scenic locations, each with three unique settings, were created using actual terrain data from across the United States. New areas include Pennsylvania Hills, Michigan Autumn Fields, Washington Mountain Forests, Georgia Rolling Woodlands, and the target range.

"Thirteen tools of the trade: Use the unprecedented combination of unique hunting tools, your hunting instincts and signs of deer activity such as droppings, tracks and scrapes. Tool selection includes: binoculars, cover scent, attractant scent, decoys, a Global Positioning System (GPS) unit, buck and doe calls, camouflage, tree stand, rattling antlers and more.

"Nine realistic weapons: One of the most diverse arsenals of weaponry available, replete with endless ammunition, including: semiautomatic shotgun, pump shotgun, bolt action rifle with scope, lever action rifle, longbow, compound bow, crossbow with scope, muzzle loader and .44 mag revolver with scope."

As was Deer Hunter, this sequel is being developed by Sunstorm Interactive.

The screenshots are located on WizardWorks' site (see link to the right).
