Deadpool And Wolverine Reportedly Doesn't Have The Cameo Everyone Was Excited For

Sorry, Swifties.

For a while now, it's been rumored that Taylor Swift would have a cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine as Dazzler. Swift will not appear in the film, however, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Rumors about Swift playing Dazzler gathered steam in 2023. Deadpool and Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, along with director Shawn Levy, attended a 2023 Kansas City Chiefs football game with Swift, who was cheering on her boyfriend Travis Kelce. People theorized, based on no real evidence, that this might be indicative of Swift playing a role in the movie.

Reynolds and Levy played coy about Swift potentially appearing in Deadpool and Wolverine, in part presumably because it helped build buzz around the film. But now, EW says it can confirm that Swift is not in the movie.

Deadpool and Wolverine is expected to feature many famous people in cameo roles, including Jennifer Garner coming back to play Elektra again, but Swift would have been the biggest. In regards to getting people to come in to shoot cameos, Levy previously discussed how he was blown away by "how easy" it was to convince people to sign on.

Deadpool and Wolverine releases on July 26, and it is Marvel's one and only film in 2024. Continuing a popular Hollywood trend, Deadpool and Wolverine will have its own popcorn bucket, and it's obscene.
