Actor Ryan Reynolds has responded to the rumors that Taylor Swift might be in Deadpool 3 and discussed how Disney buying the Deadpool series led to a change in filming locations for the movie.

Speaking to the Vancouver Sun, Reynolds said with a laugh about the Swift rumor, "Yeah, I've heard that one." He went on to say that he loves all the gossip and rumors swirling around Deadpool 3.

"I think it is a sign of how eager people are to get a peek behind the curtain in this world. Every single one of these secrets and spoilers will be revealed on July 26," he said of the movie's 2024 release date.

Swift, who is good friends with Reynolds and his partner Blake Lively, is rumored to play Dazzler in Deadpool 3. Swift, Reynolds, Lively, and Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy were spotted together at an NFL game earlier this year.

Deadpool 3 is expected to have a number of celebrity cameos, including Jennifer Garner returning as Elektra, as well as Succession star Matthew Macfadyen and The Crown's Emma Corrin in roles. Levy previously discussed how he was blown away by "how easy" it was to convince people to sign on for a cameo.

"People love Deadpool. People love Ryan. Thankfully, people also seem to like my work. They know that Ryan and I are in a groove of creative brotherhood that is unique and seems to be working," he said.

Also in the interview, Reynolds discussed the regime change after Disney bought many of Fox's entertainment assets, including Deadpool. He said he "fought like hell" to film Deadpool 3 in his home country of Canada, but alas, Disney had other ideas.

"They have their infrastructure, and you just have to sort of fall in line. To a certain degree I understand that, but I miss home," he said.

Deadpool 3 was recently delayed and is now launching on July 26, 2024. In fact, it is the only Marvel movie currently scheduled for release in 2024.
