Deadpool 2 Could Feature This Stranger Things Actor

Here's some cool news about Deadpool 2. The Wrap is reporting that Stranger Things actor David Harbour is "being eyed" to play Cable in the upcoming sequel. This information is sourced to an "individual with knowledge of the situation."

Harbour, who plays Police Chief Jim Hopper on Stranger Things, has reportedly even gone as far to screen-test for Cable. Fox declined to comment to The Wrap, and representatives for Harbour were not available to comment.

It wasn't said which others actors might be in consideration for the role of Cable in Deadpool 2. Avatar actor Stephen Lang said last year that he would like to play the part.

Deadpool 2 is set to be directed by John Wick's David Leitch, who replaces the first film's director, Tim Miller, who dropped out over reported creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds. The movie doesn't have a confirmed release date, but Fox currently has two slots allocated for upcoming X-Men movies, in 2018 and 2019. One is thought to be Deadpool 2, the other possibly New Mutants.

As for Stranger Things, the hit Netflix show returns for its second season this Halloween.
