In our exclusive look at Dead or Alive Ultimate earlier this month, we went over the bulk of what the impressive online fighter has to offer. But surely you didn't think we'd spill all the goods. During a visit to our offices today, DOA creator Tomonobu Itagaki showed off a new addition--or rather, a familiar face--to the game. While Dead or Alive Ultimate features a roster of fighters that comprises the entire cast of the original Dead or Alive for the Sega Saturn and Dead or Alive 2, Team Ninja has opted to give fans a treat by adding another fighter to the mix: DOA3's Hitomi.

If you played Dead or Alive 3, you know Hitomi to be one of the characters introduced in the third installment of Tecmo's series. The 18-year-old girl is the daughter of a Japanese mother and German father who is a formidable karate master. Having been schooled in karate at her father's feet for years, the young girl has turned into a very capable warrior. Players of DOA3 know Hitomi is one of the more accessible players to use thanks to her powerful moves and user-friendly combos. Due to her popularity and accessibility to players of varying skills, Itagaki and his team decided that she would be a good addition to the roster of fighters in DOAU.

We had the chance to see her in motion and are pleased to bring you the first direct-feed movies of her debut in the game. Additionally, you can also check out some new still shots of Hitomi in action. These clips and screens are just a taste of what we'll have to show you from Dead or Alive Ultimate this week. Check back with us on Friday for more hands-on impressions and even more media from this slick Xbox fighter.
