Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced that Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will launch across Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 in North America on February 17, 2015. The game launches three days later on February 20 in Europe.

Physical and digital versions of Last Round will be available for Xbox One and PS4 for $40, while Xbox 360 and PS3 players can pick up a digital copy for $30. Physical versions of the fighting game will not be offered for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Koei Tecmo has also confirmed Last Round's preorder bonuses, though they are only for the physical versions of the game offered for Xbox One and PS4. These are listed below.

GameStop -- Costume packs called Ninja (for Ayane, Hayabusa, Hayate, and Kasumi) and Aloha (for Ayane, Hitomi, Kasumi, and Mila).

Amazon and Best Buy -- Costume sets called Showstopper (for Christie, Helena, Lisa, and Tina) and Beach Party (for Kokoro, Leifang, Momiji, and Rachel)

In addition, Team Ninja revealed that Dead or Alive 2's "The Crimson" stage will appear in Last Round. This is a multi-level stage set on a busy street in Asia, where players will fight across rooftops and on the streets. You can see images of the updated version of The Crimson in the gallery below.

Finally, Team Ninja revealed a special promotion for Last Round that will let Xbox One and PS4 players try the game for free. At launch, you'll be able to download a special version of Last Round called Core Fighters free of charge. This bundle comes with four fighters (Ayane, Hayate, Kasumi, and Ryu Hayabusa) and "almost" every game mode. Full details regarding what's included with the free Core Fighters version of Last Round are available here.

its a shame that it wasnt available for pre-order as a digital download. i tried scouring psn for it on my ps4 at the beginning of the month and was disappointed to discover that there was no trace of it. im broke now for awhile and even when i get my next check, that money's already spent so it looks like im gonna have to wait a bit before i can get it. ill hate it if im forced to buy a game as high profile as dead or alive on disc because im always tempted to sell them when i buy physical copies because money can get tight around here at times which is why i only purchase games digitally nowadays.

Does anybody know if the preorder bonuses will be available on 360/PS3? Or will those be separate purchases? Also, if I snag the game on PC, would there be any way to transfer all my DLCs from 360?

wow what's the fucking point of this??

Well..I was considering this game until I read that there won't be a physical release for PS3.

Sorry Koei Tecmo but no disc means no money from me.

Nevermind! Just looked at the official Japanese site for Last Round and it WILL have a physical PS3 release in Japan. Since the PS3 is region free, I will buy that version come February :D.

They only ever give ninjas in the free version. I hate to be a complainer about free but diversifying the character choices couldn't hurt.

I hope someday the PC version will come out.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Wish granted! And probably with all those costume options.

What about that Senran Kagura "collaboration" that was mentioned in one of the trailers?

Looking forward to it.

This is awesome, and I especially love that the DLC from the last version will transfer.

What pisses me off though is how much they charge you for extra costumes. There are over 60$ worth of extra costumes and then some in DLC...

They need to drop the prices or have a bundle where you can just buy them all because 8$ for a costume or whatever it is is just ridiculous.

LOVE the free game first model (like Killer Instinct did). You get to try the game out for as long as you want, and I think it'll help sales too. I'll definitely check it out when it comes out.

I put a good bit of money into core fighters for PS3, but then got an Xbox one. I don't expect DLC to transfer, but at least the microtransaction route is coming to Xbox so I can just get the few characters I do use and wait for costumes to go on sale.

I was just wondering, if i buy it for XOne, all the dlc i have for 360 will be transfered, or i'll have to buy it all over again? If thats so, im getting it for 360 even with the low graphics comparison :D

<< LINK REMOVED >> I've read it'll carry over. I don't know how, maybe they're tied to your gamertag or something. Either way, With Last Round, everything will most likely be included anyway and can be unlocked via gameplay.

It's been years since I even play a single Dead or Alive game since the PS2 era, so I'll just go ahead and pre-order the Xbox One version. [Could get the PS4 version but who knows]

game's good but still think not worthy of a freaking third release
