DC Comics MOBA Infinite Crisis Shutting Down
"This was an extremely difficult decision to make."
"After much deliberation, we regret to announce the official shutdown of Infinite Crisis," the studio said.
Development on the game ends immediately, while the service overall will close on August 14. Between now and then, you can continue to play the game.
"This was an extremely difficult decision to make," Turbine added. "On behalf of the entire Infinite Crisis team we want to thank all of you for your feedback, support, and for joining together to create one of the best communities in gaming."
Turbine did not say if it will issue refunds for people with a credit balance on their account. People with questions about the closure of Infinite Crisis can reach Turbine's support staff here.
It is unclear what impact the forthcoming shutdown of Infinite Crisis will have on Turbine staffing levels. We've followed up with the company to find out.
After an extended beta period, Infinite Crisis saw its full release at the end of March 2015.
