Capcom today shed light on its Dark Void downloadable content plans, detailing a new Survivor Missions add-on available next week.

Described by the publisher as an "arcade-esque" take on the game, the Survivor Missions will challenge players to endure 10 rounds of increasingly heavy enemy onslaughts. Beyond simply surviving, players will also be challenged to post high scores on the mode, with score multipliers given for headshots.

Maybe more DLC could fill the Void.

The Survivor Missions pack is set for release on the Xbox 360 February 10, with the PlayStation 3 receiving the add-on the following day. It will sell for $5 (400 Microsoft points). As of press time, Capcom had not returned a GameSpot inquiry regarding the downloadable content's status for the PC version of the game.

Dark Void is the first project from developer Airtight Games, home to several veterans of the shuttered FASA Studios (Crimson Skies). It sees mankind fighting The Watchers, an alien race banished by humanity to an alternate universe after its members developed superpowers. The game has also been picked up by Brad Pitt's Plan B production studio for adaptation into a live-action feature film.
