The season pass contains new maps, bosses, enemies, and additional weapon and armor sets.

Dark Souls III is a little more than a month away, but if you want to go all-in and buy its Season Pass, then you can preorder it right now on Xbox One and PC. The PS4 currently offers a bundle, but it does not have the Season Pass for sale on its own.

No Caption Provided

The Season Pass costs $24.99, but not much is known about the content you'll receive from purchasing it. All we know is that it will contain two different DLC packs that include new maps, bosses, enemies, and additional weapon and armor sets.

We have reached out to Bandai Namco for more details on what the Dark Souls III Season Pass will offer to players. We will update this story as more information becomes available.

You can currently preorder the DLC pass on its own on Steam and Xbox Marketplace.

It was recently confirmed that the original Dark Souls would be included for free with digital preorders of Dark Souls III on Xbox One. If you want to learn more about Dark Souls III, you can check out GameSpot's preview right here. And you can read our interview with series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki here.

@cboye18: No. On consoles it was a separate purchase. On PC it was included in the game as the Prepare to Die Edition.

If you have to restart the game or play till a certain area to play this dlc then I won't buy it. I never bought the bloodborne dlc cause I had just finished my third playthrough got the platinum, a fourth playthrough would of been like hell lol.

@gamingdevil800: Dlc in the Souls series has always been an area hidden within the main game. Most likely to do the same for this one.

@brazprince: I hope they do what Dark Souls 2 did, where you could choose to move on to NG+ or just stay in the same game after beating the last boss. Made the DLC experience much better cause i just didn't do NG+ until after i played all the DLCs.

@dominoodle: they probably will but you will most likely finish the main game before the dlc comes out.

@brazprince: Definitely, i finished Dark Souls 2 before the DLC came out as well. But because i wasn't forced into NG+ i didn't have to play through most of the game again to play the DLC, i could just go to the DLC locations.

I think this is plain ridiculous I can understand pre ordering a game because I know what I am ordering but to pre order a DLC when I have no idea what it is or when its going to be released doesn't make sense.

@yukushi: It's only if you're a fan of the series, because you know what they make is more than worth it

If you're unsure you're not forced, but a bundle discount is good for those who know their rep

@yukushi: I wouldn't call it painful, but fun. Didn't try the new fallout so I don't know what you mean and haven't played any other game with the gameplay of SoulsBorne.
