Dark Age of Camelot housing officially available

Mythic's public beta test for player housing is over, and the Foundations add-on is now freely available to all Dark Age of Camelot subscribers.

Last week, Mythic Entertainment released a beta version of its Foundations housing expansion to those who purchased the Shrouded Isles expansion for Dark Age of Camelot. Mythic has today announced that Foundations is available to everyone who plays the game.

The downloadable add-on introduces real estate to Mythic's online world. An initial batch of 36,000 lots will be sold by reverse auction, which steps prices for lots down from a high initial price until a lot is sold or the price reaches a set minimum value. The lots are clustered in small villages in special housing zones in each realm and are situated near rivers, hills, and lakes to make some locations more picturesque and desirable than others. On the majority of servers, players can own one house per account. It's possible for both individual players and guilds to own houses, and the interiors can be lavishly decorated and outfitted with useful items and even NPC merchants.

Foundations is available for download from the link below or on the Dark Age of Camelot: Gold Edition CD. There are separate versions of Foundations that work with the original game or the Shrouded Isles expansion. More details on Foundations are available on the official site.
