Daredevil Reboot Reportedly In the Works For Disney+

Marvel hasn't confirmed what the next Daredevil project might be, but an industry publication may have some hints.

The long-teased though nebulous reboot Daredevil project will apparently be a TV series for Disney+, according to an industry film and TV production data. The latest issue of Production Weekly (via IGN) includes a section for a show titled Daredevil Reboot.

However, what this might mean is still uncertain. As IGN notes, Production Weekly includes a synopsis for the show--but it is based on descriptions of the original Daredevil Netflix series. We've known since December that Marvel boss Kevin Feige fully intends to have Charlie Cox reprise his role as Daredevil whenever the character returns to the MCU. In early March, Cox speculated in an interview that although Daredevil deserves an R-rated film, Marvel could rise to the challenge in pulling off a successful PG-13 film featuring the character.

Until this listing, however, nothing has officially indicated whether Daredevil's return might be in a film, series, or some other sort of project. With this news, an era begins of speculating what a reboot might mean and look like. But as of this writing, Marvel, Disney, nor anyone else involved in the production of original series as confirmed this news.

Most recently, Daredevil made a brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. On March 16, Daredevil--along with a number of other series including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Agents of SHIELD--finally landed on Disney+ after abruptly disappearing off Netflix. On Netflix, Daredevil's series ran from 2015 until 2018 and spanned 39 episodes across three seasons until the streaming service canceled it.
