Cyberpunk 2077's DLC Will Be Revealed After Launch
CD Projekt Red's RPG is set to launch on December 10.
Cyberpunk 2077 is nearly upon us. After an exceedingly long wait--elongated by numerous delays--CD Projekt Red's ambitious RPG is set to launch on December 10 (you can read our Cyberpunk 2077 review now). While we're busy tucking into our first playthrough after launch, however, the Polish developer has plans to reveal more details about the game's upcoming DLC.
CD Projekt Red president Adam Kiciński announced the news in a recent third-quarter earnings call (transcribed by Seeking Alpha). The initial plan was to announce the game's DLC before launch, but the most recent delay meant the studio decided to hold off on sharing more information until after December 10.
"We decided to wait for the release to provide gamers with the game and then start talking about future projects," said Kiciński.
The earnings call also mentioned Cyberpunk 2077's multiplayer mode, which is scheduled to arrive in 2022. "We'll share our thoughts about [it] next year once we will update our strategy," said Kiciński. "It will happen in Q1 next year, and that will be after releasing Cyberpunk and that will be the right moment to discuss deeper or all key aspects around future releases."
CD Projekt Red reiterated during the earnings call that the game will meet its December release date and avoid a fourth delay. If you want to know more before then, we recently discovered how sex and relationships work in Cyberpunk 2077. It also looks like you'll be spending a lot of time in Night City, as the game's lead QA tester recently revealed that he's spent 175 hours on one playthrough.
Cyberpunk 2077 launches on December 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S / Series X, and Stadia. Hit up our Cyberpunk 2077 preorder guide to learn about the bonuses that come with buying early.
