Developer CD Projekt Red is confident Cyberpunk 2077 will meet its November 19 release date. The upcoming RPG has been delayed twice already since initially targeting an April release, slipping into September and now November. (Update: Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed again.)

The company has reiterated that it does not expect the game to face any other delays in a recent video recapping CD Projekt Red's first-half of fiscal year 2020.

"When we meet again in this format, Cyberpunk 2077 will have already been released," CFO Piotr Nielubowicz says towards the end of the video. CD Projekt Red releases similar videos at the end of every quarter and the end of each half of the fiscal year. As Nielubowicz notes, the next video is scheduled for December, following Cyberpunk 2077's November 19 release.

This doesn't preclude a minor delay, of course, but Nielubowicz says development has now entered its final stretch, "marked by very intensive work." Teams across the studio continue to work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this is expected to continue until at least December. The company is facing new challenges posed by remote work, but Nielubowicz says it's "coping."

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch first on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game are due to arrive in 2021, and you'll be able to get a free upgrade if you already own the game on previous systems.
