Cyberpunk 2077's release is just around the corner, landing on December 10. Cyberpunk 2077 reviews are now live, and if you're interested in playing the game for yourself on PC, you might be wondering what kind of hardware you'll need in order to get an ideal experience. Since Cyberpunk's specs were first announced, CD Projekt Red has updated those, including expanding the different categories of specs it's outlined. Below, you'll find what you need to need to run the game in 4K, with ray tracing, and more.

Despite the high-fidelity many Cyberpunk 2077 videos display, the basic system requirements aren't as demanding as you might expect. For example, the minimum specifications only require an Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310 processor, which were introduced in 2012 and 2014, respectively. The recommended requirements get a little more demanding, necessitating an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon R9 Fury graphics card. But both of these, similar to the processors, are a couple of years old.

The new specifications that CD Projekt Red has added show what hardware players who want to run Ultra graphics, 2K, or 4K resolution will need. Players looking to max out the game, AKA running ray tracing on UItra at 4K, will require the still-scarce Nvidia RTX 3080.

Cyberpunk 2077 launches on December 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S and Series X. The action-RPG also drops on Google Stadia later this year. The studio confirmed the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 won't receive the $10 price hike some other games--like NBA 2K21--have gotten. Instead, the game will be a free upgrade for people on current-gen hardware, although that won't be available until 2021. Meanwhile, work is underway on a standalone Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer experience.
